Called Party Billing
In this instance calls can be made either from the Data Collection Centre to the Remote Site, or from the Remote Site to the Data Collection Centre. The location that receives the call will be charged the minutes for the call. Once the connection is made then data can be passed in either direction. The Modem making the call simply needs to pay a monthly fee to stay connected to the Iridium network.
Users can be billed either Prepaid or Postpaid, with Prepaid packages generally offering a better call rate.
